Couch to 5k - Week 1, Run 1.

DON'T LOOK AT ME WITH THOSE JUDGING EYES!

Ok so my first blog was in October and I haven't started the program. Jeeeeeeez.

I completed run 1 of week 1 last night which was pretty much like interval training. Running for a minute then walking for a minute and a half. For those that think this is easy (including me prior to yesterday) then try it, it's harder than it looks.

All in all I ran a little over 2 miles. I've decided that with the running aspect of the program, instead of hitting it with a jog will will run at a half sprint. Then as the weeks build with my fitness I will be able to maintain this half sprint for 30 minutes (by week 9).

So yeah, started off easy, but by the end I was sweating more than John Candy in a salad bar, had a stitch that felt like I'd been punched in the ribs and was breathing like I smoke 40 a day. BUT I finished it. Which is good stuff.

Woke up this morning to sore legs and chest (chest from an earlier weight session) but feeling pretty awesome.

Run 2 this Friday. Fuck you fatty!
